TOPクリエーターから学べる！スペシャルワークショップを春休みに開催！

急遽、ハリウッドからアーティストの来日が決定しました！中目黒のKodomo eduにお招きし、子ども達が本場のプロから直接、アニメ製作を学べる素晴らしい機会をつくりました。

お絵描きやアニメが大好きな子供たちが夢中になれること間違いなしです。子ども達にとって、一生忘れられない体験になる1Day workshopです。

映画「ザ・スーパーマリオブラザーズ・ムービー」「怪盗グルーのミニオン大脱走」を始め、一連のミニオンズ・シリーズ、大ヒットした映画「ペット」、「アイス・エイジ」シリーズなど約20作品に携わっている現役ストーリーアーティスト（米国ユニバーサル・スタジオ所属）のジェロッド・チリコさんを講師に招き、子供たちにストーリーボード製作を体験していただきます。

We are pleased to announce a one-day program where children who love drawing and anime can immerse themselves in excitement.

We have invited Jerod Chirico, a storyboard artist from Universal Studios, who has worked on about 20 films including “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, “Minions” series starting with “Despicable Me,” as well as hit movies like “The Secret Life of Pets” and the “Ice Age” series, to instruct children in experiencing the creation of storyboards.

ストーリーボードとは？ 〜What’s “Story board”?〜

ハリウッドのアニメーション製作と言うと、CGを駆使したパソコンでのアニメーション製作が頭に浮かびますが、実はどのアニメーション製作も一枚のスケッチブックから始まります。それが「ストーリーボード」。日本語で分かりやすく言うと”絵コンテ”です。

これは映画の面白さを左右する根幹の部分なので、スタジオはここに時間とお金をかけて映画のクオリティーを高めます。このストーリーボードを作る人のことを、「ストーリーアーティスト」と呼びます。今回は、この「鉛筆で映画のシーンを一コマ一コマ描き、それを動くアニメーションにする」という作業を子供たちが挑戦するプログラムです。

When it comes to Hollywood animation production, one might envision computer-generated animation, but in reality, every animation production begins with a single sketchbook. That’s where the “storyboard” comes in.

This is a fundamental aspect that influences the entertainment value of a film, so studios invest time and money here to enhance the quality of the movie. The individuals who create these storyboards are called “story artists.” In this program, children will have the opportunity to take on the task of “drawing each scene of a movie frame by frame with a pencil and turning it into moving animation.

今回このプログラムを企画したのは、日常何気なくやっている「スケッチブックのお絵描き」が、実は自分が憧れる”映画”（アナ雪でもラプンツェルでも）を作るための一つの作業に繋がっているということを、子ども達に実際に体験して欲しかったからです。たった1日でも記憶に残る体験というのは、子ども達が歩む人生に影響を与えます。１冊のスケッチブックは子供の人生を変えてしまうかもしれません。

The reason we organized this program is because we want children to experience that the everyday, seemingly casual activity of “drawing in a sketchbook” is actually one step towards creating the “movies” (like Frozen or Tangled) they admire. Even just for a day, memorable experiences can leave a lasting impact on a children’s life. A single sketchbook might just change a children’s life.
