Preschool

With the support of professional Reggio Approach teachers, the program stimulates the senses through contact with and exploration of numerous materials and nature. The program also nurtures non-cognitive skills in an environment surrounded by art, and helps students discover their own methods of expression.

Three STEPs to develop a "0 to 1 brain"

STEP01

Discover interests

Kodomo Edu respects the "voice" of every child. Children's curiosity is turned directly into a project. Self-esteem is nurtured in an environment where children feel they are treated with respect.

STEP02

Explore as a team

In order to further deepen children's interest, teachers ask various questions to nurture problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to think. By exploring in teams, children will acquire the social skills necessary for the coming age.

STEP03

Look back and think again with everyone

By reviewing what they have created together, the children will come up with more creative ideas. This spiral will deepen children's thinking ability.

Afterschool/English class for children

Students can deepen their self-expression through the "Art Class" and deepen their thinking through a hybrid program of the "English Class" that fosters self-expression and English language skills. Kodomo edu has developed a unique program based on the important essence of the Reggio Approach, "Express Yourself!” We nurture "children with Voice = Ideas".

Class01

"Art Class" to deepen thinking

"Project-based inquiry learning" to give shape to "I want to do it! ".
The teachers and children discuss "Why and what do you want to make?" and create something together over the weeks. At Kodomo edu, we don't just do what the teacher tells us to do.

Class02

"English class" to foster self-expression

Saying "I love Pokemon so much!" is better than "This is a pen" when you are in a foreign country. Kodomo edu's English is about fostering the ability to express yourself when you go overseas.
(1)Systematically learn phonics and the basics of English through textbooks.
(2)Acquire real-life phrases from books and TV programs.
(3)Create your own stories.
(4)Express your own stories in books and plays.
*In the preschool class, age-appropriate programs are implemented incorporating (1) through (4).

The activities, the variety of projects, the small community, and the Reggio Approach are the most attractive points of Kodomo Edu. The most decisive factor for me was that my child had a lot of fun the first time he went.

ParentN

I decided to send my child to Kodomo Edu because I liked the authentic Reggio Approach and the home-like environment. Our child is enjoying themselves every day with their teachers and friends. I like the fact that the class size is small, so the care my child receives is attentive, and suitable to their needs.

ParentS

The change in my child says it all. I am incredibly thankful that my child joined Kodomo Edu.

ParentK

I was interested in Kodomo Edu because of the natural space and free education. I think Kodomo Edu is attractive because of the mixed-age classes, the method of teaching each child, and the small class size which makes it easy for students to speak up. My child loves out-of-school style learning, so please keep it up!

ParentF

At Kodomo Edu, I feel that the children are accepted as individuals. I am grateful that they are nurturing a sense of self-control in a free environment.

ParentE

The environment is wonderful in that they recognize and support each child individually. I hope that my child will develop their personality through this process of education and growth.

ParentD

As a parent, I am happy that my child enjoys going to Kodomo Edu every day and has made good friends. My child is learning to be considerate of friends and others, and is learning how to build positive relationships.

ParentA

I decided on Kodomo Edu because I felt the spirit of the Reggio Approach suited my child, as they had genuinely enjoyed Kodomo Edu`s summer school program. The quality of the teachers and their passion for education is what sets Kodomo Edu apart from other schools, as they value the independence of the children. The teachers are willing to share what is going on with the children, as well as their willingness and interest to help the children from many different perspectives.
