Preschool Teacher/ After School Lead Teacher

With a background in art and creativity, Kyle majored in advertising at his university in the United States. After gaining experience as an English teacher in Japan, he worked at a private kindergarten in Yamanashi. There, he became interested in Reggio while practicing Montessori, Steiner, and other educational methods. He is currently the lead teacher at Kodomo Edu.

Fernando received his MFA in Sculpture and Printmaking from the University of São Paulo, the equivalent to the University of Tokyo in Brazil. After that, he came to Japan to deepen his understanding of printmaking and Ukiyo-e, and received his PhD from Tokyo University of the Arts. He is an excellent communicator and deeply skilled at creating a class that brings out the curiosity of each individual child. He is one of the most trusted and beloved teachers among the children.

Mathilde studied architecture at universities in both Denmark and Sweden. The fact that both of her parents were teachers may have contributed to the fact that her life has been heavily influenced by pedagogy and educational theory, as she has made her career in an environment where creativity and education are blended together. She enjoys exploring with children the importance of providing them with new materials and different means of communication to develop their thinking and self-expression.

Joslyn graduated from the Royal College of Art in London with a Master's degree in Digital Video Effects and 3D Animation. During her education, she studied abroad at Kyoto City University of Arts and, before coming to Japan, she worked as a studio assistant for professional artists for 5 years. She is passionate about helping children expand their potential for individual expression through her love of art and language.

After graduating from Japan Women's University with a BA in English Literature, Konomi went to Australia to study child care. After that, she worked at an international school in Tokyo, where she developed an interest in the Reggio Approach. Currently, at Kodomo Edu, she is deepening her knowledge of Reggio while providing support that values the independence of the individual.

Mina has 15 years of childcare experience at a licensed preschool in Japan. While deepening her study of early childhood education as a nursery school teacher, she encountered Reggio and became interested in this educational approach not found in Japanese education. This led her to Kodomo Edu. She loves playing in nature and with living creatures, and she is able to use her experience in childcare to lead children to an entertaining and deep learning experience.

After graduating from Sophia University, Faculty of Human Sciences, Department of Nursing, Rikako worked as a nurse at a hospital and at a home nursing station. After that, she became interested in English education and acquired the qualification of J-SHINE while at school in Canada. At Kodomo edu, she is constantly surrounded by English while deepening her knowledge of the Reggio Approach.

Alessandra studied Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education in her home country, and obtained her certification as an elementary school teacher. After attending graduate school in Spain and the U.S., she came to Japan by chance. During her stay in Japan, she established a school for Italians living in Japan, where she also served as principal and teacher. Currently based in Italy, she continues to practice and research the Reggio Approach. Her book "Reggio Approach" (Bungeishunju Publishing Co., Ltd.) became a hot topic and No. 1 ranked educational book on Amazon.

After graduating from the University of Colorado School of Law, Becca received her kindergarten teaching certification from Santa Monica College and worked as a head teacher at Reggio Inspire in Los Angeles. She then participated in the launch of Kodomo Edu International School. She is currently back in the U.S., working as the head teacher at the largest Reggio Approach preschool in Los Angeles, while also serving as an advisor for Kodomo Edu.
