We build inquiry learning around each child's "why?" and "I want to try that!" Small groups let us follow each child's interests and individuality closely, building creativity, initiative, and problem-solving.

Tuition (Monthly)
Younger (ages 1.5–3) and Older (kindergarten years) classes each offer courses by days per week. Preschool fees are tax-exempt, as the school holds the certificate for meeting Japan's supervision standards for non-licensed childcare facilities.

Younger = ages 1.5–3 class, Older = kindergarten-years class (a single rate applies to both at Toritsudai). There is no 1-day-a-week course. The enrollment fee is ¥80,000 at both campuses; from the second year, an annual fee applies (¥55,000 at Nakameguro, ¥33,000 at Toritsudai). No tuition is charged during summer and winter breaks.

Sibling discount: for the second child onward, the enrollment fee is halved and tuition is 15% off (up to ¥15,000). When siblings enroll at the same time, both receive the half-price enrollment fee.
Monthly tuition is paid by Aplus bank direct-debit or bank transfer. We do not accept credit card payment.
Subsidy
Subsidies for International Families
Our Nakameguro campus is a licensed childcare facility eligible for Japan's early-childhood-education subsidy and an additional subsidy from Meguro City — together, these can substantially reduce your monthly cost on eligible courses. Meguro and Shibuya residents may qualify for the largest reductions. Ask us about your specific situation at your tour.
Example: for Full Day, age 3 and up, 5 days a week, tuition of ¥227,850/month can be reduced by up to ¥77,000 in subsidies — an effective cost of about ¥150,850/month for eligible Meguro residents.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can my child start?
Kodomo Edu follows Japan's academic year, with new terms mainly in April, September, and January. If you need to enroll mid-term — due to a move, returning from abroad, or other family circumstances — tell us your child's age and preferred start date and we'll confirm availability.
Is it okay if my child has no English at all?
Yes. Many children start with little or no English and pick it up naturally through daily life, play, and inquiry.
Do you have staff with certified nursery-teacher qualifications?
Yes, alongside staff bringing a range of other specialties.
What about events and extracurricular activities?
Our annual curriculum includes Japanese-culture experiences like tea ceremony, and nature/farming experiences twice a year (rice planting, harvesting vegetables). We also hold Sports Day, Family Day, Project Exhibition, and Seasonal Events, plus field trips tied to each project or the children's interests.
Do you have long breaks?
We're closed weekends, public holidays, New Year's, and spring/summer/winter breaks, plus staff training days and Golden Week — see our annual calendar for details.
