Staying in Japan for a month or more? Whether you're working remotely or exploring the city, your child is welcome to join our regular classes for the length of your stay — days filled with art, inquiry, friends, and English, plus a taste of Japanese culture.

Programs
Three Programs, One Simple Way to Join
The Short Program is simply our three regular programs, joined for the length of your stay. Your child attends the normal class hours with the same teachers and classmates. Pick the one that matches your child's age and your daily schedule — we'll help you choose.

01 Preschool
Ages 1.5–6. Mon–Fri 8:50 AM–2:00 PM (Half Day), 8:50 AM–5:00 PM (Full Day), with early drop-off from 8:00 AM and extended care to 6:00 PM. A full day of Reggio-inspired art inquiry — the natural fit if you need daytime care.

02 Kindergarten After School
Kindergarten years (about ages 4–6). Mon–Fri 2:00–5:00 PM, extended care to 6:00 PM. Afternoons of art and English — a good match if your mornings are family time.

03 Elementary After School
Grades 1–3. Mon–Fri 4:00–7:00 PM at Nakameguro (extended care with dinner to 8:00 PM) or 2:30–6:00 PM at Toritsudai-Yakumo. Problem-solving art projects and English with Japanese peers.
How It Works
Three Steps to Your Child's First Day

Step 1
Tell us your dates — call or email us in English with your arrival and departure dates, your child's age, and the campus you prefer.

Step 2
We confirm the details — we check availability for your dates and confirm the program, class hours, and fee. Stays of one month or longer are at our regular monthly tuition; for one week to under one month, we'll quote for your dates. We then send you the Short Program forms (in English) to complete.

Step 3
Visit, then start — once your forms and payment are in, your place is confirmed. Come by for a short tour if you'd like, or start on your first day with a brief orientation. Our teachers help your child settle in from the first morning.

Two Campuses in Central Tokyo
Nakameguro campus — 8 min walk from Nakameguro Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line / Hibiya Line).
Toritsudai-Yakumo campus — 12 min walk from Toritsudaigaku Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line).
Applying
What We'll Ask When You Apply
To welcome your child safely, we ask for the following at application. Having it ready makes the process quick.

About your child
Name (as in passport), date of birth, gender, nationality, languages spoken at home, level of Japanese and English, current school or nursery, experience in group settings, and the length of your stay in Japan.

Your plan
Preferred campus, start and end dates, days of the week, Half Day or Full Day (Preschool), early drop-off, extended care, pick-up time, lunch order or packed lunch, nap, and diapers if needed.

Health and safety
Allergies, dietary needs, medical history, medication, any developmental support your child needs, notes for medical visits, your wishes in an emergency, and whether you hold medical insurance valid in Japan.

Contacts
Parent names, phone and email, your address and accommodation while in Japan, a phone number reachable in Japan, an additional emergency contact, and the names of anyone who may pick up your child.

Days the School Is Closed
The Short Program runs on regular school days. Please plan your stay around these closures — we'll confirm the exact dates for your period.
Fees
Fees at a Glance
Tuition for stays of one month or longer is the same as our regular monthly tuition (see each program page). In addition, please note the following. All amounts are before 10% consumption tax.
One-time and extra fees
- Enrollment fee ¥80,000 — paid once. It stays valid, so your child can rejoin on future visits to Japan.
- Insurance ¥2,200
- Hat ¥1,500 and T-shirt ¥2,600
- Lunch ¥432 per day if you order school lunch (a packed lunch from home is also fine)
- Excursions such as field trips: about ¥7,000, billed separately. Teaching materials are included in tuition.
Payment
- 10% consumption tax is added to all listed amounts.
- Payment by bank transfer or in cash at the school.
- Your place is confirmed when payment is received.
Terms
Good to Know Before You Book
A few points so there are no surprises. Please read them before you confirm your dates.
- Each booking is for a continuous period. Days are not split across separate visits, and there is no discount for non-consecutive dates.
- Public holidays that fall within your period are counted as part of it; fees are not adjusted for them.
- Absences are not refunded or made up on other days.
- Once payment is made, cancellations are charged in full (100%).
- If your stay ends earlier than planned, fees for the remaining days are not refunded.
- Campus and class placement depend on availability. We'll let you know what's open for your dates.

Questions Visiting Families Ask
Does my child need to speak Japanese?
No. The school day runs in English, and children pick up Japanese culture naturally through activities and friends.
Is there a minimum stay?
The Short Program starts from one month. If your child attends five days a week, stays from one week are also welcome.
How much does it cost?
For stays of one month or longer, the fee is the same as our regular monthly tuition — see the Tuition section on each program page. For one week to under one month, please contact us and we'll quote for your dates. A one-time enrollment fee and a few extras apply — see Fees at a Glance.
Can we start any time of year?
Yes, subject to space. We're open on weekdays and closed on weekends, Japanese public holidays, and school breaks — see Days the School Is Closed. We'll confirm the exact days for your stay.
What should my child bring?
Once your dates are set, we'll send a short list for the program you've chosen. A school hat and T-shirt are provided for a small fee, and lunch can be ordered or brought from home.
