Elementary After School
A hybrid program pairing inquiry-based art that sharpens problem-solving with practical English. Children take on advanced art projects addressing real social issues and craft their own solutions. The English class builds toward the four English skills through phonics, including EIKEN exam preparation.

Elementary After School is a step up from Kindergarten After School, bringing in more academic elements. We pair social-issue-themed art projects with a genuine English class — your choice of phonics or conversation — to build problem-solving, creativity, and the four English skills.
Beyond regular hours (4:00–7:00 PM at Nakameguro / 2:30–6:00 PM at Toritsudai-Yakumo), extended care with dinner runs to 8:00 PM, a schedule that works well for dual-income families.
01 Art Class
Learning About Social Issues From Social Entrepreneurs!
Project-based inquiry learning that turns "I want to solve this" into art.
Starting from curiosity and questions about the world, children prototype their own solutions through their work. Learning about real issues — environmental problems, poverty, food waste — directly from social entrepreneurs, children ask "how would I solve this?" This isn't a class where the teacher hands over answers: children pose questions, research, think, and shape their own ideas into art, building problem-solving, creativity, and initiative.
The point: this is authentic inquiry-based and entrepreneurship education, hard to find in a regular elementary school classroom. Meeting social entrepreneurs connects children to real-world issues and builds the inquiry, creativity, and drive to help shape the future.
02 English Class
Real English — Your Choice of Phonics or Conversation
Elementary English isn't just about enjoying the language — it's about building the ability to read and write independently. Kodomo Edu offers a Phonics class and a Conversation class, matched to your child's goals and level.

Phonics Class
Builds the foundation for "I can read it myself." Learning the sound-letter rules of English (phonics) while building all four skills — reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Lays the groundwork for EIKEN and other English tests, English classes at private elementary schools, and English-credential prep for junior-high entrance exams.

Conversation Class (English Conversation)
Builds "I want to say this" through living, communicative English. Dialogue and activities with native-English-speaking teachers build the ability to think and express in English. Repeated practice putting your own thoughts and feelings into English builds communication skill, presentation ability, and confidence.

Care is not available after 8:00 PM. From the second year, an annual fee of ¥22,000 applies (waived for the following year for enrollments in October or later); a heating/cooling fee and an insurance fee are charged separately. Field-trip camps are a required part of the program — in months when they are held, roughly ¥30,000–60,000 is added to the monthly tuition. A sibling discount (15% off tuition, up to ¥15,000) is available. Pricing for the Toritsudai-Yakumo campus is available on request.
Monthly tuition is paid by Aplus bank direct-debit or bank transfer. We do not accept credit card payment. The "Sukusuku Aido" employee-benefits voucher is also accepted through the Benefit Station program (available from our second year of operation; the discount amount depends on your employer).

Schools we pick up from (Nakameguro campus)
Nakameguro Station, Nakameguro Elementary School, Hasedo Elementary School, Sarugaku Elementary School, Higashiyama Elementary School, Sugekari Elementary School, and Karasumori Elementary School.
At our Toritsudai-Yakumo campus, we plan to run bus pick-up (Tokyu Bus) from Yakumo, Miyamae, and Higashine elementary schools, Tokiwamatsu Gakuen Elementary School, and the Gakugei University-affiliated Setagaya elementary school. For pick-up by car, we recommend a kids' taxi service. Pick-up schools and routes are adjusted each school year — ask us for current details.

Children who complete Preschool or Kindergarten After School can continue their Kodomo Edu learning here once they start elementary school. New students coming from other kindergartens, nurseries, or international schools are just as welcome.
